​Li obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology at Miami University in 2013. He then pursued his Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona from ​Dr. Mike Barker. Before coming back to MU, Li conduct research as a NSF Postdoctoral fellow in Biology under the supervision of Dr. Nancy Moran at the University of Texas at Austin.
